Meet Our Retail Departments

Customer Service

Our customer service teammates are the face of Sobeys as they welcome, serve and engage customers.    Working as cashiers, at coffee bars or elsewhere in the store, their friendly manner makes a great first impression and helps customers to have an exceptional shopping experience.

Meat

From stews to barbeques, you have the chops to recommend products to our customers. J.W. Sobey started in the meat delivery business more than 100 years ago, so we stake our reputation on this department! Join our team and take pride in a continued tradition. 

Grocery

You are the ultimate food guide, tailoring the experience of the customer to just the right can of soup, bottle of balsamic or sachet of spice before they even ask. We want your creative ideas and proactive thinking to keep stores looking great and running smoothly. Begin with this role to show us what you can do.  

Deli

Deli teammates hand out entertainment advice alongside delicious meats and a huge variety of cheeses. Customers make this a destination for the latest products and our innovative to-go meals. Bring your passion for food to a job that can become a career.

Seafood

Help us show off our wide range of seafood while recommending the freshest catch. We’re counting on your expertise when it comes to displays by proactively suggesting ideas and engaging with customers. Get hooked on a job that can grow into a career.

Produce

You know the difference between sweet potatoes and yams and can help customers pick the perfect pineapple, find better food ideas and are enthusiastic to share that knowledge! Learn about supply chain management, food safety, and our innovative produce programs while you work your way up the food chain.

Floral

Take root in a career that encourages an artistic touch. Help customers select fresh cut flowers, a house plant, or an accessory to brighten up their day. There’s always room to grow at Sobeys, so turn your green thumb and passion for petals into a career you love.

Health & Wellness

Are you passionate about healthy living?  Come to work in a department committed to advancing customer health and wellness that includes Pharmacy, Home HealthCare, Cosmetics, and more.

Bakery

Nothing says comfort like baked goods. Our bakers use quality ingredients infused with love and caring to feed customers and fill stores with warm and welcoming aromas. Turn cakes and cookies into a career.
