  • Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
  • Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
  • Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs
  • Fries donuts and performs oven duties (Alberta and British Columbia Only)
  • Prepares a variety of bakery products in accordance with Safeway recipes and high standards in order to produce a superior quality product that satisfies customers’ expectations
  • Responsible for preparing baked goods in accordance with company standards on merchandise presentation
  • Receive and put away product orders
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of bakery equipment
  • Receiving and rotating of baked product
  • Filling Bakery showcases

  • Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds
  • Frequent hand coordination, bending pushing, pulling and twisting
  • Occasional lifting of between 20-50 lbs including waist level and low level lifts
  • Constant standing, walking, gripping, reaching
