We are currently looking for a Pharmacy Category Manager. This is a hybrid role and there is an in-office requirement of 3 days a week.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Drive profitability and attain all financial targets
- All aspects of Brand Rx, BTC, Diabetes, Vaccines and Pharmacy Supplies category management
- All aspects of category strategy/tactics
- KCM utilization
- Vendor relationships
- Develop and execute forecasts to meet financial targets
- Annual review and management of CORE agreements
- Coordinate retail pricing
- Partner with leadership to drive category performance
- Work with Merchandising, Marketing and Pharmacy Programs to develop effective promotions based on merchandising strategies for the banners
- Partner with Pricing, Space Management and Replenishment teams to ensure effective communication within the department
Manage the Product Life Cycle, Pricing and Promotion
- Develop and implement category plans that incorporate strategies for Pricing, Promotion, Placement, Product Life Cycle, and Vendor Relations
- Incorporate customer insight, market analysis, and store and market visits to identify category opportunities
- Manage effective product life cycle (listings, de-listings, innovation, seasonal programs)
- Manage inventory levels
- Maximize category performance through the introduction of new and innovative products
- Develop and manage category/item pricing subject to strategic pricing philosophies loyalty program data
- Determine ad item selection and pricing based on banner financial criteria and event calendar
Vendor Relations
- Manage all vendor interactions
- Optimize vendor investment to deliver on sales targets (marketing and trade spends) Develop productive, proactive and consultative business relationships
- Collaborate with vendors to optimize vendor investment to deliver on sales targets (marketing and trade spends)
- Collaborate with vendors to maximize customer and category insight
Leadership
- Manage direct reports including: selection, orientation, training, performance management, succession planning and compensation
- Create coaching and development culture for all store employees
What you have to offer:
- An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of retail merchandising management and product performance systems
- Knowledge of SAP, MS Excel
- Retail operations and/or merchandising experience would be an asset
